Monitoring, evaluation and review
This framework is based on the principle that interagency UNAIDS action will improve
global and national HIV-related efforts for men who have sex with men and transgender
people, largely through the coordinated efforts of UNAIDS and its Cosponsors, expanding and
improving their leadership and work on these issues, developing and providing technical and
other support, advocating appropriate policies and working closely with partners at the global,
national and local levels.
The interagency working group on men who have sex with men, transgender people and HIV
issues will: develop a system to monitor and evaluate the approach and work proposed in this
framework; develop UNAIDS and its Cosponsors strategic approach to these issues; develop,
monitor and evaluate detailed workplans, as necessary; periodically review and evaluate their
strategic approach; and report on activities undertaken within this approach.
