Development of Aids symptoms
Advance indications may either take a couple of months or up to some years to develop, yet the deadly cells are still multiplying and killing off your immune system cells (CD4 cells + T cells) and may include the following:
- Weight loss
- Swollen lymph glands
- Diarrhea for more than a week
- Lack of energy / unexplained fatigue
- Fever and/or night sweat
- White spots / unusual blemishes on tongue, in mouth or throat
- Persistent yeast infections
- Dry cough
- Red, brown, pink or purple marks on the nose, eyelids or inside the mouth
- Skin rashes
- Short-term memory loss
- Depression
- Neurological problems
- Frequent herpes infections etc.
Cautionary note on symptoms
The symptoms listed above can be indicative of many other problems, not related to Aids - please DO NOT rely on any of the above symptoms alone to "diagnose" HIV infection, and if in doubt please consult your health practitioner immediately.
