Healthy diet can slow onset of AIDS
The United Nations World Food program is set to give $1 million to provide healthy food the HIV/AIDS sufferers in India. The organization claims that a healthy diet can reduce the risk of infections and hence slow the onset of AIDS. A good diet also makes anti-retroviral therapy more efficient. 5.1 million Indians suffer from HIV or AIDS. The disease is spreading across the whole social community and not just the traditions risk groups such as homosexuals, drug users and sex workers.
