About the WHO Technical HIV Incidence Assay Working Group
Leadership
The WHO Technical HIV Incidence Assay Working Group provides expert guidance on the technical aspects of HIV incidence. The secretariat of the working group is coordinated and hosted jointly by the departments of HIV and Essential Health Technologies.
The working group is composed of a core group of experts from, University of South Wales, Sydney, Australia, Human Sciences Research Council, Cape Town, South Africa, and Blood Systems Research Institute, UCSF, Family Health International and WHO.
Participants
Depending on the topics to be discussed, meetings of the Technical HIV Incidence Assay Working Group are expanded to involve experts in the field and include epidemiologists, statisticians, laboratory specialists, virologists, immunologists, HIV transmission experts, assay developers, assay users and public health officials.
