The goal of the prevention program is to

The goal of the prevention program is to empower individuals, families and communities to pervert the spread of HIV/AIDS. Women and the young are our main targets because they are the most susceptible in Thai Society. It is our belief that everybody should aim for a good quality of life, and good health in knowing how to protect them selves with the knowledge they need according to their culture.

Our four person staff is dedicated in sharing their knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention throughout the Rayong province. Since the conception of this project our staff has presented our HIV/AIDS prevention education in Thousand of Schools, Universities Offices, and other work areas throughout the Rayong province.

From among the trainees who attend are training seminars at the Camillian Social Center Rayong we chose the best to become peer educators within their educational or work facility. They are trained to be able to help their colleges or fellow students at a peer level.

Our Prevention staff work with each group of trainees to develop an action plan on this HIV/AIDS prevention program. The action plans is aimed at initiating prevention campaigns among their peers. Through the peer educators and groups, HIV/AIDS prevention is further expanded to immediate family and friends.

Our prevention program has been instrumental in reducing the number of new cases of people testing HIV positive in this area.

A new prevention department has been implemented in the South of Thailand and is sponsored by Caritas Spain.
