A man accused of deliberately infecting his sexual partners with HIV has been found guilty of two counts of endangering life.

Stuart McDonald, 43, stood trial in the South Australian Supreme Court accused of infecting eight men with the virus in 2005.

After more than four hours of deliberation, the jury found him guilty of two charges, but acquitted him of the other counts.

He was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing submissions next year.
