The speakers at a seminar observed that the awareness among masses with regard to preventive measures about HIV/AIDs, is the only way to prevent the disease.

The seminar was organised to create awareness about HIV/AIDS preventions by Jinnah Education Foundation, Shah Faisal Town (SFT) here, said a statement issued on Sunday. They said a survey report issued by the United Nations (UN), in 2009 revealed that about 25 million including 14 million children of the total 60 million HIV-positive individuals died due to the HIV-infection.

SFT Administrator Kamal Mustafa addressing on the occasion said the creation of awareness about preventive steps regarding all fatal diseases can help to protect individuals from same. He appealed to social welfare organizations and people to play their due role to create awareness pertaining to all fatal diseases. He informed that the Administration SFT will launch a free vaccination campaign in the town, for protection against hepatitis. app
