Collaborations with International Organizations

Through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), CDC supports a comprehensive and amplified response to global HIV/AIDS through leadership of, engagement in, and coordination with multilateral institutions and international organizations—including the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund)—in the areas of prevention, treatment, use of strategic information to support program planning and implementation, capacity building at the national and district level, and laboratory systems development.
