syndrome (AIDS) and thus known as HIV/AIDS.

To start with information about this dreadful and fatal disease, it is defined as the Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and thus known as HIV/AIDS. The virus is a member of the retrovirus family and it attacks the immune system of the individual, making it weak to fight against opportunistic infections which are not otherwise so severe. This virus is transferred to other individuals through body fluids like the blood, vaginal fluid, semen, pre-ejaculate and breast milk. Other than these, there is no other way of this disease being transmitted majorly to other bodies.

AIDS is known as more of a sexually transmitted disease and other forms of transmission are contaminated needles and breast milk. This pandemic disease has very simple early symptoms which are usually ignored as symptoms of other diseases. But when you know what are the symptoms of HIV infection, it is advised not to procrastinate medical help as this infection is fatal, if not treated. Take a look at some HIV symptoms seen in both men and women mentioned in the following paragraphs.
